Google has updated it's search tool. What does this mean for therapists?
Google Search Update
In April 2024, Google updated their search engine.
They have reported that it reduces (what they see as) low quality, unoriginal content by 45%.
They aim to remove "spammy" content from search results, and improve access to relevant, high value pages.
This means that therapists should understand what's in Google anti-spam policies.
Web sites and web pages need to be designed to avoid triggering Google's policies.
Their new policy is being fully enforced from May 2024.
